The Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 3) is one of the best-built domestic EV chargers on the market — purpose-engineered for Tesla vehicles, with native integration to the Tesla app for charge scheduling, kWh history and cost tracking. It works fine with non-Tesla EVs via the Type 2 connector too, but the Tesla integration is what makes it the natural choice for Model 3/Y/S/X owners.

Important: Use a Tesla-recommended electrician or at minimum an OZEV-approved installer familiar with Wall Connector commissioning — Tesla has specific earthing and RCD requirements (Type A RCD with 6mA DC fault detection, or Type B RCD; PEN fault detection where on a TN-C-S supply) that some installers miss. Done right, the unit carries a 4-year Tesla warranty; done wrong, the warranty is void.
The Tesla Wall Connector is compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go via direct Tesla API integration — the vehicle itself controls charge timing, so the charger doesn't need to be in Octopus's compatibility list. This makes it one of the most flexible smart-tariff options for Tesla owners.

Yes — it has a standard Type 2 connector and charges any modern EV. You lose the Tesla app integration (charge scheduling via the car) but charging itself works the same. Many households with a Tesla + a non-Tesla second EV install a Wall Connector and use it for both.
