What we do
EV Charger Cornwall is an independent guide to EV charger installation in Cornwall. We don't run cable, we don't fit chargers, and we don't show up at your door with a toolbox. We write plain-English guides to what installs cost in Cornwall, which grants you can claim, and how the main chargers compare, so you can get the job done properly and at a fair price.
There are three ways to get a charger fitted, and we explain all of them on the homepage: book a national installer online, hire a local OZEV-approved electrician, or ask us to introduce you to one.
Introductions to local installers
If you fill in our form, we'll try to introduce you to one local OZEV-approved installer who covers your postcode. We're still building our list of Cornish installers, so we can't promise to have one for your area yet. Your confirmation email names the installer we pass your details to. If we don't have anyone for you, we'll say so rather than keep you waiting.
The installer quotes you directly and you pay them directly. We never add anything to their price.
How this site is funded
We believe you should know who pays us, so here it is:
- Affiliate links. Some links on this site are affiliate links, currently to Pod Energy (formerly Pod Point). If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are always labelled.
- Installer introduction fees. Installers we introduce you to may pay us a fee for the introduction. It never changes the price you're quoted.
Neither affects what we write. Our comparisons and cost guides are based on published specifications and prices, not on who pays us, and we say so wherever a commercial relationship exists.
What we promise
- No fee to you, ever. Reading the guides and asking for an introduction are free.
- Your confirmation email names the installer we pass your details to. Your details go to one installer only, and only with your consent.
- OZEV-approved only. We only introduce installers who are on the government's authorised installer list. You can check anyone yourself there, whoever you use.
- Honest about what we are. An information site, not an installer. The disclosure at the foot of every page says the same.
- Your data stays minimal. See our privacy notice.
